Matthews started fifth in the field and only took a couple laps to get to second place. Matthews would inherit the lead after then leader Shelby Chisholm (Antigonish) spun from the top spot by themselves on Lap Four.

After a rash of early yellows, the final seven laps were run consecutively under green. McKenna Little (Williamswood) would finish second behind Matthews while Chisholm narrowed the gap on those top two but would wind up third. Emma MacMillan (Maitland) and Irelyn Rose (Halifax) completed the top five.

Matthews won the only heat for the class.
