Racing Update

We opened for practice this past Friday, as you may know. This is the first step after guidelines were changed, allowing 50 people to gather. The sound of a car could be heard at the track for the first time since last fall.

This past week Public Health and the Province have made joint announcements with regards to the number of people that can gather outdoors. They also joined with NB and PE to open the borders to the three Maritime provinces.

All these are good signs to us. However, Scotia Speedworld, as all tracks, needs to be able to have a larger number of fans in the grandstands before we can open to race. NB is allowed unlimited numbers to gather, if they respect safe distancing and use masks when they cannot maintain safe distances.

As there is no published plan, we will continue to monitor weekly Public Health and Government releases, to keep current with the guidelines. Once the guidelines reach the number of people that enables us to start racing, we will publish a schedule.

It is up to all of us to follow Public Health guidelines to ensure that cases of COVID-19 do not increase. Please follow all the guideline. Think and act positively!
