SAD NEWS FOR ROMA FAMILY

It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Lauchlan (Lockie) Roma early Tuesday morning, July 17th. Lockie was one half of the Roma Brothers Racing Team that was a long time competitor at Scotia Speedworld. His brother Terry, the other half of team, passed away on April 15 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lockie was the capable crew chief for all the incarnations of the 38 car, wrenching to many feature wins and championships over the years. He was a quiet person, but when he spoke it was from a well thought out position. He supported the sport that he loved and was interested in its best interests. Lockie was extremely supportive of Terry, both in racing and his battle with cancer.

It was rare to see one brother without the other, and now they are together again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Roma family and Lockie’s many friends.
