It was a great night for Antigonish as drivers from the town swept the podium, led by a first time winner.

As he begins to write his chapter in Maritime motorsports history, Ryan Chisholm (Antigonish) scored his first feature victory in just his fourth start of the season and became the second straight first time winner in the class in as many weeks.

Ryan started fifth in the 12-lap feature and was in the right place at the right time when Jake Campbell (Sydney) got into Shelby Chisholm (Antigonish), sending both from the front of the field to the back of the field on Lap Four. Ryan would get the advantage on the second ensuing restart and drove it home to the victory from there over an eight lap run to the checkered. Behind Ryan, Shelby and Brandon McGrath (Antigonish) swapped the runner-up spot a few times over the run to the checkers with Shelby getting the best of McGrath at the end. Addison Veinotte (Porters Lake) was fourth with Adlee Lively (Middle Sackville) taking home fifth for her first top five since the opener.

McGrath took home the heat race victory.

Shelby Chisholm still oversees the division from the top of the point standings as they race back to Halifax on Friday night.

Landon Pierce (Bridgewater) is making the best of his final races in a Bandolero at Scotia Speedworld as he picked up his first victory of the season and second consecutive podium run in Halifax.

Pierce, who will age out of the division later this Summer, started third and took the lead from Bella Pashkoski (Beaver Bank) on Lap Five of the 15-lap feature. A caution on Lap 11 would bunch the field back up but nobody had anything for the Plum Crazy No. 19 as he took home the victory. Pashkoski was second in her best feature finish of the year, followed by Season Opener winner Avery DeCoste (Antigonish), a rebounding Hailey Bland (Lakeview) after spinning with five laps to go and sophomore Lily Whynot (Dartmouth).

Ethan Hicken (New Glasgow) won the heat race.

Bland’s point lead has shrunk to four over Pashkoski and seven over DeCoste as we head into Race Four on Friday.

Reigning track champion Ross Moore (Lake Egmont) became the fourth different winner in as many races as he captured the checkered flag in the 25-lap Toursec Mini Stock feature on Friday.

Moore started ninth in the 22 car field, which was led to green by Tyler Hallahan (Elmsdale). Hallahan led the opening nine laps to the first caution which saw Blake MacDonald and Kenny Hopper pointed in the wrong direction. Hallahan held court on the restart until Moore made an outside move on Lap 15 to take the lead and ultimately held on to the top spot. Tim Wright (Middle Stewiacke) muscled his way past Hallahan for second in the late laps with Travis Keefe (Chester) coming home third. Hallahan and Darren Hodder completed the top five.

Hallahan, Hopper and Moore took home heat race victories.

Moore holds the point lead over Keefe as the Toursec Mini Stocks return in two weeks for FANFEST.

While second place was a seemingly revolving door behind him, Ayden Christensen (Windsor Junction) held the lead and ultimately the win in the Strictly Hydraulics 50 INEX National Qualifier on Friday evening.

Christensen started tenth in the 26 car field, making the move for fifth on Lap 12. He moved to third on Lap 16 after a multi-car incident was triggered by Kelsey Hann (New Glasgow) and Devin Wadden (Hammonds Plains) for third after a restart and to the lead by Lap 20 after passing Chase MacKay (Bear Cove). Owen Mahar (Hubley) chased Christensen through the field and looked to have a podium spot locked up until contact with Josh Langille (Coldbrook) sent the No. 66 around. It was one of three yellows flags that happened within the 50 lap feature that involved cars running in the top five at the time of caution.

After a rash of cautions within the final ten laps, the last six would run green to the finish with Christensen taking the victory ahead of Nathan Langille (Coldbrook), Chase Livingston (Springhill), Caden Tufts (Timberlea) and a returning JJ Macphee (Yarmouth).

Heat races were won by Hann, Nathan and Josh Langille.

After being tied in points for the last two weeks, Christensen takes sole possession of the top spot heading into the Shriners Classic on Friday
