Proving the week before was no mistake, Chris Drover (Lower Sackville) brought home his second victory of the 2024 season at Scotia Speedworld.
Drover started 13th and by the end of Lap 10 was in the thick of a multi-car battle for the lead. Timmy Geldart led the opening ten laps but after contact with Tim Wright (Middle Sackville) he found himself spinning in front of traffic and to the rear of the field on the ensuing restart. Drover, who almost got clipped by the spinning No. 75, took to the outside of Chris McMullin on Lap 15 and eventually took the top spot with 10 to go and held it to the checkered flag. Ross Moore (Lake Egmont) came home in second with McMullin, Dylan MacMillan (Maitland) and Darren Hodder completing the top five.
McMullin, Tyler Hallahan (Elmsdale) and Geldart took home heat wins.
Moore leads by a sizeable 44 point margin over Travis Keefe (Chester) after six races.

After a time shortened event the week before, the Strictly Hydraulics Legends returned to the track on Kiddie Night to close the show. Even with some stumbles, the field was able to complete all 25-laps and it was a familiar face pacing the field.
Ayden Christensen (Windsor Junction) started 12th in the 21 car field and passed Nate Singer (Kennetcook) for the lead on Lap 13. While it appeared the race would go green from shy of halfway to the finish, a late race caution would give the field a green-white-checkered finish. The two lap dash would not be enough for the field to get by Christensen as he scored his third victory in seven races in 2024.
Caden Tufts (Timberlea) and Josh Langille (Coldbrook) scored their third podiums of the season with second and third place runs, respectively, on Kiddie Night. Devin Wadden (Hammonds Plains) raced to his second straight top five finish with a fourth place run with Campbell Delaney (Halifax) coming home in fifth.
Christensen, Dawson Noble (Upper Nine Mile River) and Jared Slaunwhite (Terence Bay) captured heat wins. For Slaunwhite, it was his first checkered flag in a Legend car.
The Strictly Hydraulics Legends return on Friday, July 12th.

For a fourth time this season, Russell Smith Sr (Lakeside) is a Late Model Sportsman winner at Scotia Speedworld.
Smith started 12th in the 19 car field and after a rash of early cautions would find himself third by the 14th lap. Darren Wallage (Oakfield) won his heat race and paced the field early. Smith would move to second around Breen shortly after a restart on Lap 29. As the No. 44 made the move on Wallage, Alex Johnson (Enfield) would get under Breen, making it a two by two battle for the top spot with eight laps remaining.
A late race crash involving Joey Livingstone (Pictou Landing) set up a five lap dash to the finish in an already frantic battle within the top four. Smith was able to take advantage on the restart and create a gap between him and Johnson enough for his fourth win of the season. Johnson was second with Wallage, Breen and Cory Leonard (Goodwood) completing the top five.
Wallage, Breen and Pete Miller (East Gore) picked up heat race victories.
Smith extends his point lead while the vice tightens around second in the standings after six races.
