THE RETURN OF THE STREET STOCKS

For the first time in over 20 years, the Street Stock division returns to Halifax with a 75-lap feature prior to the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour Season Finale, the Tirecraft 200!
Here’s some of the need-to-know information for teams competing on Saturday, September 23rd.

Tech:
Eldon Campbell, Barry Richard and Speedway Miramichi will oversee the technical direction of the event. All technical rules will follow the 2023 Speedway Miramichi rulebook, including their used tire rule, for the event at Scotia Speedworld. Brandon Campbell will serve as Race Director.

Laps:
We will run 10-lap heat races, set by random draw, and a 75-lap feature. The 75-lap feature will have a 45 minute time limit on it, not counting any red flag period that is needed.

Money:
Each car that competes in The Return of the Street Stocks will receive $150. Top to bottom. First to last.
Any extra money donated will be split evenly between traveling cars from outside mainland Nova Scotia. Those looking to add to the purse can contact Tim Terry for more information.

Registration:
Drivers are encouraged to register with Scotia Speedworld by filling out the registration form by clicking HERE. Please indicate on the form that you are registering for The Return of the Street Stocks.

There is no registration fee for this one-off event. Pit passes on race day are $40.

Track Rentals:
Track rentals are available through the online portal on ScotiaSpeedworld.ca. Drivers who wish to rent the track and are not currently registered will have to pay the $50 registration fee. Renting the facility for private practice is a perk to being a fully registered driver of the track.

Goal of the Event:
Our ultimate goal is to show that there is a place for Street Stock racing, on a limited schedule, at Scotia Speedworld for the 2024 season and beyond. This also gives drivers a chance to compete at a track they may not usually have the chance to and race in front of a Pro Stock crowd in Halifax.

Further Questions:
For any questions or concerns involving The Return of the Street Stocks, please contact Eldon Campbell (tech) or Tim Terry (all other inquiries – tim@timscorner.ca) for more information.
