CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series Continues Friday Night

(Halifax, NS – August 18, 2021) The CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series has an exciting Friday night of racing lined up! All divisions will be racing under the lights at 7:00pm. The Fleet Brake Atlantic Sportsman cars will run the AJK 50 in honor of Alex Kocken, a longtime crew member and supporter of Miller Brothers Racing and racing throughout Atlantic Canada. With a purse built of over $8,000 and an entry list of 23 cars as of today, this one is shaping up to be one of the biggest Sportsman races Scotia Speedworld has hosted in years.

Tickets for the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series are $20.00 for adults, youth (8-15yrs) $5.00, children seven and under are free.

Below is a breakdown of the over $8,000 purse (based on 20 cars) and contingency programs:
1st - $1000
2nd - $750
3rd - $600
4th - $500
5th - $400
6th - $350
7th - $300
8th to 12th - $250
13th to 21st - $200
22nd to 25th - $150

Bonus Awards:
$20 per lap to leader (provided by Shore Cycle & Marine)
$250 Halfway Leader (from Phil-Ko Plastics and Glass)
$250 Hard Charger (from Phil-Ko Plastics and Glass)
$500 Top Finishing Out of Province Car (from Steve Williams)
$75 per car for any Out of Province Car (from Tim’s Corner Motorsports)
