SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD’S CARSTAR WEEKLY RACING SERIES RETURNS SUNDAY AT 2:00 PM

(Halifax, NS. May 16, 2018) Scotia Speedworld’s CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series will kick-off their 31st season this Sunday at 2:00 PM.  All CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series divisions will see action on the oval this Sunday. Adult tickets are $15.00; Youth tickets (8-15 years) are $5.00 and children 7 and under are admitted for FREE all season at Scotia Speedworld! Tickets will be available at the gate on race day (cash only). Grandstand gates open at 12:00 noon with qualifying slated to get underway at 2:00 PM.

While the checkered flag is the immediate goal, Sunday is the first opportunity for drivers on the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series to gain valuable championship points. After a long winter, teams have been working around the clock to get their racing machines ready for competition for the first time since last September.

New for the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series is the Fleet Brake Atlantic (formerly Pulse Heavy Duty) Consistency award. The highest finishing driver without a feature win at the end of the season will receive a cash bonus at the annual awards banquet courtesy of Fleet Brake. The award will apply to the Toursec Thunder & Lightning, Strictly Hydraulics Legends and the Affordable Fuels Sportsman.

The CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series will return to its usual 7:00 PM time slot on Friday nights starting May 25th for CTV Night, we will have some of the stars of CTV Morning Live in the house so be sure to join us!
