Strictly Hydraulics Back as Legend Sponsor in 2017

(Halifax, NS – March 13, 2017) - Scotia Speedworld is excited to announce that Strictly Hydraulics will return as the title sponsor of the Strictly Hydraulics Legends division in 2017. Race fans and teams have come to associate the 5/8-scale replicas of the '34 and '37 Chevrolet and Ford coupes and sedans that comprise the Legends division with Strictly Hydraulics, who have supported the division for six seasons.  



Scotia Speedworld and Strictly Hydraulics are similar in many ways, both are nearing their 30th anniversary and both are motorsports enthusiasts who have a long history within the sport. Strictly Hydraulics is a full service hydraulic center, with a 24 hour on call service to meet customer's requirements. They have the largest selection of hose and fittings, both metric and imperial, in Atlantic Canada. Strictly Hydraulics' engineers and technicians are able to deal with any hydraulic system and have it operating properly and efficiently in a short timeframe.

The Strictly Hydraulics Legends division continues to produce some of the closest racing of any CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series class. In 2016, the championship came down to the final laps of the season in September, with Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake) coming home with his second straight track championship in the class. Scotia Speedworld continues to produce Eastern Canadian champions for their age group and skill, including Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, Semi Pro), Paul Goulden (Shelburne, Masters) and Butcher (Pro).

The first race for the Strictly Hydraulics Legends in 2017 will take place during the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series Opener on Sunday, May 21st at 2:00pm.
