STRICTLY HYDRAULICS LEADS LEGENDS FOR FIFTH SEASON AT SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD

(Halifax, NS – March 14, 2016) - Scotia Speedworld is pleased to announce that Strictly Hydraulics will return as the title sponsor of the Strictly Hydraulics Legends division in 2016. Race fans and teams have come to associate the 5/8-scale replicas of the '34 and '37 Chevrolet and Ford coupes and sedans that comprise the Legends division with Strictly Hydraulics, who have supported the division for five seasons.  



Scotia Speedworld and Strictly Hydraulics are similar in many ways, both are nearing their 30th anniversary and both are motorsports enthusiasts who have a long history within the sport. Strictly Hydraulics is a full service hydraulic center, with a 24 hr on call service to meet customer's requirements. They have the largest selection of hose and fittings, both metric and imperial, in Atlantic Canada. Their Aeroquip Express Center can turn your walk-in hose, tube or fitting problem into a solution while you wait. Strictly Hydraulics' engineer and technicians are able to deal with any hydraulic system and have it operating properly and efficiently in a short timeframe.

The Strictly Hydraulics Legends division continues to produce some of the closest racing of any Scotia Speedworld Weekly Racing Series class. In 2015, the championship came down to the final laps of the season in September, with eventual champion Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake) edging out Tim Horton’s at the Airport Rookie of the Year Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB). Scotia Speedworld continues to produce Eastern Canadian champions for their age group and skill, including Hall (Semi Pro), Adam Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines, Young Lion), Paul Goulden (Shelburne, Masters) and Joey Lawson (Porter’s Lake, Pro).

The first race for the Strictly Hydraulics Legends in 2016 will take place during the Weekly Racing Series Opener on Sunday, May 22nd at 2pm. The division is slated to race 14 times between their May opener and the season finale on Friday, September 16th, with an extended lap feature taking place during INEX Night on Friday, June 17th.
