BANDOLEROS TO FLY HYDRAULICS PLUS COLORS FOR FIFTH SEASON
(Halifax, NS. March 12, 2014) Scotia Speedworld is excited to announce that Hydraulics Plus will be returning for a fifth season as the title sponsor of the Hydraulics Plus Bandolero division. The Bandolero class is the entry level class of stock cars racing at the 3/10-mile oval, with drivers in this class ranging from ages eight to 16 years. Introduced for the first time in Canada at Scotia Speedworld in 2006, a Bandolero is a spec-series, turnkey race car, designed to be a transitional step between a racing kart and a stock car. The Hydraulics Plus Bandolero class has proved to be a pivotal step in the ladder of stock car racing - just ask 2008 track champion Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro, who went on to win the prestigious Rookie of the Year Award on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour in 2013.

All of us at Hydraulics Plus are looking forward to another great year of watching these young drivers grow and mature in their skills.”
“We're very happy to have Hydraulics Plus returning to sponsor our Bandolero Car division. John Cameron and the folks at Hydraulic Plus have been great supporters of Scotia Speedworld and continue to help the young drivers in the Bandolero class.” Commented Scotia Speedworld General Manager Ken Cunning.
The Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros will open their 2014 season on Sunday, May 25th as a part of the Opening Weekend at Scotia Speedworld. Adam Meehan of Rawdon will look to become only the second driver to win two Hydraulics Plus Bandolero track championships on the heels of his 2013 title. He will have his hands full with many veterans of the class returning, including former Canadian INEX Champions Braden Langille, Luke Ettinger, Cole Tanner and 2013 Rookie of the Year Wyatt McCulloch among others looking to race the crown away from Meehan. The Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros are slated to race 14 times in 2014, which includes an extended lap feature on Friday, June 20th and a feature as the undercard to the 15th Annual Atlantic CAT 250 on Saturday, August 9th.
