MOLSON NIGHT ON TAP FOR SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD WEEKLY RACING SERIES
(Halifax, NS. June 12, 2013) Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series is gearing up for Molson Night this Friday! Five divisions will face off on the 3/10 mile oval including; the Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros, ACE Lumbermart Thunder and Lightning, Strictly Hydraulics Legends and the Coors Light Trucks. Adult admission for the Weekly Racing Series is just $12.00; Youth (8-15) are $2.00 and children 7 and under are free…all summer long! Tickets are available at the gate on race day (cash only). Grandstand gates open at 5:00 PM with racing action slated to get underway at 7:00 PM.
The Coors Light Truck division will take centre stage for Molson Night on Friday. This division is deep in talent and competition with a mix of new drivers and veterans attacking the track on a weekly basis. Rookie Robbie Watts of Lucasville took his first feature victory in the class last week with Dan Smith (Lower Sackville) and Ryan Goldsmith (Bridgewater) right behind him in the results. Smith, who won the championship in 2012, leads Goldsmith by a single point in the standings while Watts sits third following his win and round two of the Coors Light Trucks Championship chase.
