About Scotia Speedworld: Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. 2012 marks the 25th season of weekly racing at the venue. SSW is the only track in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features six different classes of racecars. SSW also hosts special events, including Monster Jam and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. SSW is located at Exit 6 on Highway 102, across from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Next week don’t miss double-header action at Scotia Speedworld. Metro’s biggest race weekend of the season kicks off on Friday night at 7:00 PM with the Dartmouth Dodge 100 featuring the Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman and Jack Daniel’s Trucks. Tickets for the Dartmouth Dodge 100 are $12.00 for Adults; $2.00 for Youth (8-15yrs) children seven and under are free. Saturday the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour returns to Halifax for the prestigious Atlantic Cat 250, short track superstars from across the Maritimes and the North Eastern United States will do battle for 250 gruelling laps in 14th running of the Atlantic Cat 250. Tickets for the Atlantic Cat 250 are $35.00 for adults; $6.00 for youth (8-15); children 7 and under are admitted free. Adult weekend passes are also available for $40.00 (pits $45.00).
