For CARQUEST 100
(Halifax, NS. May 4, 2012) Advance tickets for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season opener CARQUEST 100 are on sale now at Ticket Atlantic. The CARQUEST 100 will kick off the 12 race season for the popular touring series. Last year the three drivers standing atop the podium following the season opener finished the season in the top three spots in the overall points standings. Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB) won the season opener last year and finished second in the championship standings. John Flemming (Halifax, NS) came across the line just behind Tucker for second and finished his season in third. Wayne Smith who eventually won the championship had a third place result in the CARQUEST 100.

Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. SSW is the only venue in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features six different classes of racecars.
