About Scotia Speedworld: Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. 2012 marks the 25th season of weekly racing at the venue. SSW is the only track in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features six different classes of racecars. SSW also hosts special events, including Monster Jam and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. SSW is located at Exit 6 on Highway 102, across from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Friday at 7:00 PM the Weekly Racing Series returns, joining the action on track will be many of your favourite media personalities who will be competing in the annual Media Race. That’s right we let these folks strap in and battle it out for 10 laps in real racecars! The winner walks away with a slick trophy and a $1000.00 cheque for the local charity of his or her choice! Tickets will be available at the gate on race day. Weekly Racing Series tickets are $12.00 for Adults, $2.00 for Youth (8-15yrs) and children seven and under are free all season at Scotia Speedworld!

Saturday at 6:00 PM the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour returns for the second of only four visits to Scotia Speedworld this season. The Lockhart Truck Centre 100 will be race four of 12 for the popular touring series. Advance tickets for the Lockhart Truck Center 100 are on sale now at Ticket Atlantic outlets (Atlantic Superstores NS & PE), by phone 902.451.1221 or www.ticketatlantic.com.  Tickets will also be available at the gate on race day (cash only). Admission for the Lockhart Truck Center 100 is $25.00 for adults, $5.00 for youth (8-15 yrs); pit admission is $30.00.
