Pulse heavy Duty To Pace
Truck Division For 2017

(Halifax, NS –May 1, 2017) Scotia Speedworld is pleased to announce a new marketing partnership with Pulse Heavy Duty who become the new title sponsor for the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series Truck division. The Pulse Heavy Duty Trucks will provide first class door-handle-to-door-handle racing all summer during Scotia Speedworld’s 30th Anniversary Season.

Pulse Heavy Duty opened its doors on Thornhill Drive in the Burnside Industrial park in February 2017. Pulse Heavy Duty’s primary goal is to take sourcing parts for both new and older vehicles off your plate. Pulse Heavy Duty excels at sourcing hard-to-find parts for second generation and out-of-warranty vehicles. Visit www.pulseheavyduty.com for more information.

Dan Smith (Lower Sackville) is the king of the Pulse Heavy Duty Truck division. Smith completed his "drive for five" last year and will be in search of a sixth straight championship in 2017. Six different drivers drove to victory lane in the class last season, including Jason Fenton (Eastern Passage), Megan Parrott (Beaver Bank), Matt Vaughan (Fletcher's Lake), Adam Carter (Lantz), Tony Leonard (Goodwood) and Smith. With inaugural Pulse Heavy Duty Truck Champion Gordon Ritchie (Elmsdale) returning to the fray and the competitive field on deck, Smith will have his hands full on his quest to re-write the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series record books.

Scotia Speedworld will open for the year on the Victoria Day long weekend in May. The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour and the Maritime League of Legends will begin their seasons on Saturday, May 20th with the Lucas Oil 150. The CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series will open the following day on Sunday, May 21st and will feature all six divisions that comprise the regular season Friday night program.
