HYDRAULICS PLUS BANDOLEROS - BOUDREAU REBOUNDS FOR WIN

Cole Boudreau (Chipman, NB) reminded the Hydraulics Plus Bandolero competitors on Friday that he was still well a part of the championship picture as he took the victory in the 15-lap feature on ACE Lumbermart Night. Boudreau was done early a week prior when he pounded the inside wall with the #00 State Farm Insurance Bandolero. Point leader Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake) finished in second to maintain his point advantage on the field. Cole Tanner (Shubenacadie) finished third, over Adam Meehan (Rawdon) and Megan Parrott (Beaverbank).

Heat races were won by Meehan and Nicholas Naugle (Halifax), who picked up his first career Bandolero checkered flag in the first heat race. The Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros return to action on Jack Daniel’s Night in two weeks.

JACK DANIEL’S TRUCKS - BROWN BACK TO VICTORY LANE

Vernon Brown (Antrim) outdueled a stout field of Jack Daniel’s Truck division racers to take his second win of the season, becoming only the second driver to win multiple races in seven features this season in his #80 Wilson Excavation Chevrolet. Jason Fenton (Eastern Passage), who is waiting on that first checkered flag of the season, finished second ahead of Dan Smith (Lower Sackville). JP Arsenault (Church Point) came home in fourth while Kyle Gammon (Middle Sackville) overcame radiator problems in practice to complete the top five in the main feature.

2011 champion Arsenault picked up ten points early in the evening by winning the heat race. Next up for the Jack Daniel’s Trucks is a 20-lap feature on Shriner’s Classic Night.

ACE LUMBERMART LIGHTNING - THIRD 50 WIN FOR SMITH

Lakeside’s Jorden Smith continues to put impressive numbers up in the ACE Lumbermart Lightning division. Smith, the 2011 champion of the division driving the #144 Rent a Centre Dodge Neon, captured his third consecutive ACE Lumbermart 50 on Friday night to extend his already impressive point lead on the rest of the field. Richie Moore (Elmsdale) shadowed Smith in the closing laps and finished second, ahead of Jamie Dillman (Carroll’s Corner), Marc MacMillan (Glenholme) and BJ Nicholson (Beaverbank). The top five finished on the lead lap after Smith set a blistering pace as the first 40+ laps of the race were run without a yellow flag.

Heat wins went to Dillman, Smith and Chevy MacDonald in the 23 car field. The chase for the ACE Lumbermart Lightning car title continues Friday night as a part of Shriner’s Classic Night.

ACE LUMBERMART THUNDER - MACMILLAN SCORES HAT TRICK, TAKES THIRD WIN OF ‘12

The story of the ACE Lumbermart Thunder class during the 50 lap feature was once again the battle between Andrew Cluett (Kennetcook) and Kyle MacMillan (Hammonds Plains). For the third consecutive feature, the two battled hard in one down to the finish of the event with MacMillan getting the advantage on the evening to score his second career ACE Lumbermart 50. Cluett came home in second while Cody Singer (Kennetcook) played pinch hitter for Dwayne Flemming (Shubenacadie) and brought the #43 car home in third. Completing the top five was 2011 Thunder car titlist Dave Matthews (Kennetcook) and 2011 champion Stevie Lively (Shubenacadie).

Singer and Matthews took the wins in the 10-laps qualifying races. MacMillan, in the #5 Scotia Tire Wyse Road Honda Civic, will take the point lead into Shriner’s Classic Night.
